2022 As part of our ESG initiatives, Multizen Nantong put together a solar farm on our premises that generates 1.2 million KW per year while reducing carbon emissions by 1,200 tons which is equivalent to planting 55,000 trees. 2021 Multizen Nantong entered into a co-manufacturing agreement with KIND to produce a healthy kid's kind bar. Multizen established a new sales office in Shanghai. Multizen exited its investment in a 70 years old chocolate manufacturer in Philadelphia. 2020 Multizen Nantong invested into an extruded cereal line to manufacture inclusions for our chocolates. Multizen Nantong entered into a co-manufacturing agreement with Godiva to produce the first ever piece of Godiva chocolate praline in China. Made In China Godiva IWC chocolate was born. Multizen Nantong entered into a co-manufacturing agreement with Hershey's to produce Hershey bars. Multizen Hong Kong continued our CAPEX investment by installing Sweden Revent double rack ovens in our Hong Kong factory. This substantially increased our baking capacity as well as baking quality. 2019 Multizen Nantong completely refurbished our Italian Delver chocolate gold coin lines and invested heavily in a fully automated line with one shot / inclusion depositing and robotic demoulding capabilities. Multizen Hong Kong brought in Japanese Rheon equipment to start producing custard mooncakes in Hong Kong. Multizen entered into a manufacturing agreement with MARS to co-manufacture products for the China market. 2018 Multizen entered into a manufacturing agreement with Hershey's to co-manufacture Hershey's products for the China market. Initial launch was Brookside and Snack Mix with other products being developed in the pipeline. 2017 Multizen built cooking and bakery sections and brought in Italian equipment in our Hong Kong factory. This allowed us to produce cakes, pastries as well as hard boiled confectioneries for our high end customers. Multizen Hong Kong received USDA Organic Certification as well as ISO 22000 certification. 2016 Multizen set up new Guangzhou sales office and sales team in order to further develop domestic China market. Multizen brought in chocolate tempering machines, enrobing machines and cooling tunnel from Belgium as well as QA machineries such as metal detectors from Japan to boost our chocolate manufacturing capabilities in Hong Kong factory. Multizen integrated our sales office in Tsim Sha Tsui together with our Hong Kong factory in Tsuen wan to improve communication and productivity. 2015 Multizen implemented SAP-A1 in all of our factories and offices including all handheld and mobile capabilities. Multizen's Hong Kong factory started operations. Multizen launched a new B2B business in Hong Kong "Couverture by Multizen". http://www.couverture.com.hk 2014 Multizen signed an agreement with SAP Hong Kong for the SAP-A1 license. SAP global implementation in all of our factories and offices from 2015 to 2016. Multizen purchased 20,000 square feet of industrial floor space in Hong Kong (Tsuen Wan) and turned it into a world class GMP and HACCP compliant facility. The facility was specifically designed to handle heat sensitive premium chocolates with constant temperature and humidity monitoring. Multizen entered into an agreement with Godiva to co-pack all their chocolates in China. An exclusive facility was built especially for them. 2013 Multizen invests heavily in upgrading production equipment which includes extending capabilities to produce very high end gourmet / handmade chocolates. 2012 Multizen began a major strategic and marketing focus on domestic China sales. 2011 Multizen began implementation of Toyota Production System (LEAN Manufacturing) and brought in consultants from the U.S. and Australia. Multizen made a substantial investment into a 70 years old chocolate manufacturer in Philadelphia. 2010 To further consolidate our production capability, we have integrated our candy plant from Shenzhen to Nantong; thus, Multizen Nantong becomes one of China’s largest confectionery plants with chocolates and candies all under one roof. 2009 Kandy Kastle entered into a distribution agreement with Frankford Candy in the U.S. to distribute Kandy Kastle’s line of products. 2008 A world class manufacturing facility (Multizen Nantong) was built with 250,000 square feet of production area. We moved our chocolate plant from Shanghai to Nantong during this year. 2007 Multizen acquired 55,000 square meters of land in Nantong planning for future growth. 2006 Multizen getting into Snack business category Multizen established Chocolats Christina in Belgium producing gourmet chocolates. Kandy Kastle’s Lightning Bugs won candy of the year award in the U.S. Multizen sold Apex-Multizen Limited to Sun Capital / Cyrk group. 2005 Multizen Shenzhen moved into brand new factory in Songgang, Shenzhen expanding our candy production capability. Multizen turned our joint venture Shanghai factory into wholly owned subsidiary Kandy Kastle established distribution warehouse in New Jersey, USA Multizen Japan moved into new office in Johnson Building, Kyoto, Japan. 2003 Kandy Kastle established distribution warehouse in California, USA. Multizen established candy factory in Fuyong, Shenzhen, China. Kandy Kastle Inc. was established in the U.S. and moved into San Diego office. 2002 Multizen formed joint venture chocolate factory in Shanghai, China. 2001 Multizen established Asia Logistics Centre in Kwai Chung, Hong Kong to facilitate our Asia Logistics needs. Multizen began local distribution business in Hong Kong. Multizen acquired Apex 88 to form Apex-Multizen Limited to develop Europe market. Multizen Japan was established. Multizen received first ISO-9002 certification (Multizen factories subsequently have received certification such as BRC, HACCP, ISO-9001, ISO-14001, OHSAS18000, etc.) 2000 Multizen moved into new office in Kowloon Centre. 1993 Multizen Asia Limited was established as an international trading company in Hong Kong. |
